Wolverines to Head North for Canadian Collegiate

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's golf team heads north of the border to Aurora, Ontario, for the 2026 Canadian Collegiate Invitational on Monday and Tuesday (Sept. 21-22). Hosted by Golf Canada, the two-day, 54-hole event will be played at Beacon Hall Golf Club, a par-72, 6,272-yard layout.
Notes
• Michigan is part of an 11-team field that includes Auburn, British Columbia, Kent State, Maryland, Michigan, South Florida, Tennessee, UCLA, UNC Wilmington, UTSA and Virginia.
• Michigan's lineup for the Canadian Collegiate will feature junior Thomasine Bartholdson, sophomores Jaymie Ng and Reese Ng and freshmen Amanda Revuelta and Guia Acutis. Sophomore Vanessa Zhang will return from injury and compete as an individual.
• Alongside the 11 teams competing in the Canadian Collegiate Invitational, the Team Canada/NextGen Selection Camp will feature 21 of Canada's top junior girls' golfers. The camp serves as an evaluation opportunity for potential selection to Team Canada/NextGen, the second tier of Golf Canada's national team system, while giving participants a firsthand look at the NCAA competitive environment.
• Michigan made its Canadian Collegiate Invitational debut last season, finishing sixth among 12 teams with a 36-hole total of 584 (+8) at Beacon Hall. Former Wolverine Mara Janess led U-M in the 2025 event, tying for seventh with a two-round 142 (-2) after matching rounds of 71 (-1).
• Michigan head coach Jan Dowling returns to her native Canada this week. A native of Bradford, Ontario, Dowling is in her 14th season leading the Maize and Blue. Smiths Falls is approximately 27 miles from Aurora, the site of this week's event.
• Michigan opened its season with a sixth-place finish at the Badger Invitational, posting an 881 (+17) total at University Ridge Golf Course. The Wolverines paced the field early with an opening-round 283 (-5).
• Bartholdson led U-M with a career-best runner-up finish at the Badger Invitational. After opening with a 70 (-2) and second-round 73 (+1), she closed with a bogey-free, career-low 68 (-4) for a career-low 211 (-5) 54-hole total -- nine shots better than her previous career best.
• During her runner-up showing, Bartholdson totaled 12 birdies and just seven bogeys over 54 holes. Her finish marked Michigan's best individual showing since Lauren Sung was runner-up at the 2025 Wolverine Invitational.
• Jaymie Ng opened the season with a career-low 220 (+4) to tie for 16th at the Badger Invitational, earning a career-best finish and her second career top-20 showing. Classmate Reese Ng opened the 2026-27 campaign with a career-low-tying 70 (-2) and finished tied for 48th at 228 (+12).
