ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Graduate student Carly Bauman and junior Kayli Boozer earned Women's Collegiate Gymnastics Association (WCGA) regular-season All-America honors as announced Monday (March 30).
Bauman earned second team on the floor and Boozer notched second-team honors on the beam. The honor is the first of both gymnasts.
Student-athletes with the top eight National Qualifying Scores (NQS) for the regular season (with ties), for each event, plus the all-around earned first team All-America honors. Second team All-America honors are earned by student-athletes ranked Nos. 9-16 (with ties) in the NQS.
Bauman, the Big Ten Specialist of the Year, most recently earned her fourth Big Ten nod as she received her third first-team All-Big Ten honor and was a second-team honoree in 2023. Bauman competed on three events in her sixth season and took home 10 individual event titles, including two on uneven bars, two on balance beam and six on floor exercise. She notched Big Ten Specialist of the Week honors twice this season to bring her career total to five, while she recorded 14 scores of 9.900 or better -- including seven of her last eight routines on floor to close out the regular season. Bauman was named an AAI Award finalist on Wednesday (March 18); she has also recorded a career-best 9.975 on all three of her events, including one time on floor in 2026. Heading into regionals, Bauman ranks 11th on the floor with a NQS of 9.935.
Boozer earns her first All-American citation after she notched her second career All-Big Ten honor as she was named to the second team for the second straight season. The Texarkana, Texas, native competed in the anchor spot on beam all season and also competed in the vault lineup for eight meets. Boozer kicked off the season with six straight beam scores of 9.900 or better and five straight titles. The junior specialist has recorded eight scores of 9.900 or better on beam this season and four 9.950s, which tie for a career high. Boozer also recorded a season-best 9.875 on the vault. Heading into the postseason, Boozer ranks 13th nationally on the beam.
Bauman, Boozer and the rest of the Michigan squad compete in the second round of the NCAA Regionals Thursday (April 2) in Baton Rouge, La., at 1 p.m. CT on ESPN+.
