ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 6-ranked University of Michigan women's basketball team (11-2, 2-1 Big Ten) will return to Crisler Center for the first time in 2026 to host Minnesota (10-3, 1-1 Big Ten) on Monday evening (Jan. 5) at 6:30 p.m. The game can be seen live on the Big Ten Network.

• Michigan is back at home after a six-day trip to the Pacific Northwest, hosting Minnesota in its first home contest of the 2026 calendar year. U-M is 7-0 at home this season, averaging 96.0 points per game on 52.9 percent shooting. U-M has led wire-to-wire in six of those home contests and trailed for just 12 seconds against Purdue.
• U-M has won two straight and nine of the last 11 in the series against the Gophers after a 70-65 win last season in Minneapolis behind 54 points from Syla Swords (23), Olivia Olson (19) and Mila Holloway (12). Minnesota leads the all-time series, 36-34.
• The contest between Michigan and Minnesota will feature the second-best scoring offense in the Big Ten (Michigan, 89.3 ppg) against the top scoring defense (Minnesota, 49.9 ppg). In addition, Michigan is ninth nationally and first in the conference in forcing turnovers at 25.4 per game, while Minnesota commits the fewest turnovers in the Big Ten at 9.9 per contest.
• Michigan is 1-0 this season following a loss after recording an 81-55 win over Syracuse two days after dropping a 72-69 contest to No. 1 UConn. U-M is coming off a 64-52 loss at Washington after its fourth-quarter comeback came up short.
• Olson has scored in double figures in all 13 of Michigan's games this season, averaging 17.8 points per game on 46.6 percent shooting. She has recorded four 20-point games and a pair of double-doubles this season. Olson ranks ninth in the Big Ten in scoring as one of nine players to average at least 17.0 points per game.
• Kendall Dudley, a 2024 McDonald's All-American who joined the program in the offseason after spending her freshman season at UCLA, has fit in well in the maize and blue. After appearing in two games off the bench, she earned the first start of her Michigan career against Binghamton (Nov. 18). She responded with six points, six rebounds and two assists in just 11 minutes of action. She recorded the first double-figure scoring game of her career in Michigan's win over Purdue (Dec. 7), scoring 10 points on 5-for-6 shooting. Appearing in 12 games, she is averaging 4.4 points and 3.7 rebounds per game.
• Brooke Quarles Daniels continues to be an integral part of Michigan's rotation, averaging 5.2 points, 4.3 rebounds, 2.9 assists and 2.1 steals in 20.7 minutes per game. BQD has five games with at least three steals this season and is ninth in the conference in steals per game.
• Te'Yala Delfosse is averaging 10.7 points per game on 58.1 percent shooting from the floor and leads the team with 6.2 rebounds per game. She has increased her scoring from last season by 7.3 points, the ninth-best improvement by a Big Ten player this season.
• Michigan is embarking on a three-game week, next traveling to Penn State (Jan. 8) before returning home to host Wisconsin (Jan. 11).
