Notes
• The Wolverines return to Crisler Center to host Penn State as part of Senior Day and Alumni Weekend. Michigan will honor its senior class of Jordan Hobbs and Greta Kampschroeder before the game, with alumni being recognized at halftime.
• Hobbs was part of Michigan's 2022 Elite Eight team and has appeared in 109 contests over the last five years. She is averaging career highs in points per game (13.2), rebounds per game (4.8) and minutes per game (30.7) during her final season in the maize and blue. Kampschroeder has started all 26 games this season, playing out of position in the post. She, like Hobbs, is playing her best basketball at the end of her career, averaging career highs in points (6.5), rebounds (3.5) and minutes per game (23.5).
• Michigan has just three regular-season games remaining before heading to the 2025 Big Ten Tournament. U-M is one of the 12 teams to have secured its berth in the postseason event. Michigan has already tied its Big Ten win total from last season with nine victories. At 9-6 (as of Feb. 20), U-M is tied for sixth place in the conference. Michigan's NET ranking (as of Feb. 20) is 24 as one of eight Big Ten teams in the top 30.
• There are nine freshmen across the Power Four conferences who have played at least 740 minutes this season, with Michigan's trio of freshman starters among them. Olivia Olson (775, 29.8 mpg), Syla Swords (785, 31.4 mpg) and Mila Holloway (740, 28.5 mpg) are playing heavy minutes for the Wolverines. There is only one other team in the top 30 of the NET playing a freshman this much -- Mikalya Blakes at Vanderbilt.
• Penn State leads 32-21 in the all-time series. Michigan took the lone meeting between the teams last year, an 80-75 win in State College. Michigan has won nine in a row and 12 of the last 13 against the Lady Lions.
• Holloway has stepped right into the starting point-guard role as a freshman and has not missed a beat. She has started all 26 games, averaging 10.3 points, 3.3 rebounds and 4.2 assists in 28.5 minutes per game. She has led Michigan in assists in 17 games. Holloway is the only freshman in the Big Ten and one of six first-year players nationally to average double figures in scoring and at least four assists per game. She has 109 total assists on the season, becoming the seventh freshman in program history to hit triple digits.
• Olson leads the Wolverines in scoring at 16.4 points per game, coming in at No. 10 in the Big Ten. She is the top-scoring freshman in terms of points scored at 427. Olson has scored in double figures in all but four games, racking up seven 20-point games and a 30-point performance. She is also averaging 5.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 1.3 steals in 29.8 minutes.
• Michigan wraps up the home portion of its schedule on Wednesday (Feb. 26), hosting Iowa at 7 p.m. inside Crisler Center.
