
Wolverines to Battle No. 8 Tennessee in Opening Round of CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team (6-0) will travel to Knoxville, Tenn., to take part in the CSCAA Dual Meet Challenge at the Allen Jones Intercollegiate Aquatic Center. The three-day meet will start on Friday (Nov. 21) and end on Sunday (Nov. 23). The Wolverines will open the four-team tournament against No. 8-ranked Tennessee (1-2) on Friday at 6 p.m. All three days will be streamed on SEC Network+.
Notes
• Michigan improved to 6-0 on the season with wins over Oakland and Pittsburgh on Nov. 7 at Canham Natatorium.
• Bella Sims leads the way for Michigan in the pool, owning three top-four marks in the country. Sims leads the NCAA in the 100-yard backstroke with a time of 49.87 and is second in the 200-yard freestyle with a mark of 1:41.83. She also ranks fourth in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:51.26.
• Hannah Bellard enters the midseason meet with strong times in the 200-yard butterfly and the 400-yard IM. Bellard's butterfly time of 1:54.07 ranks sixth in the country, and her IM mark of 4:07.88 is the seventh-best time nationally.
• In freestyle, Brady Kendall paces the team in the 50-yard race with a season-best time of 21.74, which ranks eighth in the NCAA.
• Letitia Sim has put together a solid season in breaststroke with top-10 national times in the 100- and 200-yard races.
• Junior Stephanie Balduccini ranks ninth in the country in the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:43.18.
• U-M will meet Tennessee for the fourth time, with the Volunteers leading the series 3-1.
• With a win, the Wolverines would face the winner of the meet between No. 1-ranked Virginia and No. 18-ranked Arizona State on Saturday (Nov. 22) at noon. If U-M loses, it would face the loser of that same meet on Saturday at 3 p.m.
