» Opening with a 288-team total, Michigan positioned itself eighth after the first day of the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational at North Carolina's Finley Golf Club.
» Making her return to the starting lineup, Sydney Sung paced the Wolverines with a one-over 71 behind three birdies and 11 pars, placing her among the top 25 (t-21st).
» Reese Ng and Mara Janess followed with 72s (+2) and are tied for 31st. Janess has now gone six straight rounds without posting a score above 73, averaging 70.8 over that stretch across her last three events.
