
Wolverines to Return to Ann Arbor to Take on Washington

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The 24th-ranked University of Michigan men's basketball team (12-3, 4-0 Big Ten) returns to Ann Arbor for its first 2025 home contest hosting Washington (10-6, 1-4 Big Ten) at Crisler Center on Sunday afternoon (Jan. 12). Tipoff is scheduled for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on Big Ten Network.

• Michigan concluded its week-long trip to the West Coast with a pair of wins. U-M opened the trip with an 85-74 victory at USC (Jan. 4) in the Wolverines' first-ever visit to the Galen Center. The Wolverines followed with a 94-75 victory at No. 22 UCLA (Jan. 7). It was the second U-M win at Pauley Pavilion (2-6).
• Now, Michigan faces a third straight West Coast squad and new Big Ten member Washington on Sunday (Jan. 12) at Crisler Center. Washington has a two-game stint in the state of Michigan. The Huskies opened with an 88-54 loss at No. 16 Michigan State on Thursday (Jan. 9).
• Michigan is shooting a nation-best 51.9 percent from the field. Led by Vladislav Goldin's 68.3 percent -- tops in the Big Ten and fourth nationally -- five Wolverines shoot better than 50 percent.
• With four straight games with 10-plus long-range buckets, U-M has 54 of its 146 three-pointers during the stretch, including the program-record-tying 19 against Western Kentucky. In the four games prior, U-M made 22. This season, U-M has had 10-plus three-pointers in nine of 15 games.
• Scoring in double figures in five of his last six games, Nimari Burnett's 10.5-point average adds even more balance to the Maize and Blue scoring as five Wolverines are now averaging in double figures.
• With three 20-plus assist games over its last four games, U-M has averaged an assist on 65 percent of its baskets. The Wolverines posted a season-best 24 assists at No. 22 UCLA (24-of-32, 75 percent). U-M has five 20-plus assist games.
• Michigan has lost its three games by a total of five points. U-M fell to Wake Forest by two (72-70; Nov. 10 in the Deacon-Wolverine Challenge), Arkansas by two (89-87; Dec. 10 at the Jimmy V Classic) and No. 14 Oklahoma by one (87-86; Dec. 18 at the Jumpman Invitational).
• Tre Donaldson has set new career highs in every statistical category except steals. Donaldson (13.1 ppg) has scored in double figures in five straight games, including a career-best 20 at No. 22 UCLA. He leads the Wolverines with 12 double-digit outings.
• Goldin scored a career-best 36 points at No. 22 UCLA, including 21 in the first half. He is the first Wolverine to score 30-plus points since Dug McDaniel had two 33-point games last season against Florida (Dec. 19, 2023) and at Oregon (Dec. 2, 2023).
