
Michigan to Kick off B1G Play Hosting Wisconsin, Nebraska

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan men's tennis team begins conference action this weekend when it hosts Wisconsin on Friday (March 22) at 5 p.m., and Nebraska on Sunday (March 24) at noon at the Varsity Tennis Center.
Notes
• Michigan enters conference play with a 6-10 overall record and looks to snap a four-match skid.
• The Wolverines are 5-2 at home, most recently falling to No. 1-ranked Ohio State in a non-conference tilt at the VTC on Sunday.
• Michigan has won its last five conference openers, dating back to 2019.
• Michigan owns a dominating 85-9-1 record in the all-time series with Wisconsin, going 24-2 since 2000 and having won the last 15 straight. The Badgers are 1-12 heading into the B1G schedule.
• The Wolverines hold an 11-1 advantage in the series with Nebraska, losing just once in 2014 before seven straight blankings. The Huskers are 10-5 as they head into the weekend, first facing MSU on Friday.
• Gavin Young and Jacob Bickersteth are both ranked in singles and in doubles. Young checks in at No. 15 in singles and Bickersteth at No. 125. As a doubles pair, they are ranked No. 27.
• Bickersteth is two wins away from recording his 50th career singles victory. Sitting at 48-21, he has a winning record at No. 2, 3, 4 and 5 including a 6-0 mark at No. 3 singles.
