
Michigan Set to Host USNTDP for Exhibition on Friday at Yost

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 10-ranked University of Michigan ice hockey team hosts the U.S. National Team Development Program in an exhibition game on Friday (Oct. 25) at 7 p.m. inside Yost Ice Arena. The game will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan is 19-4 against the USNTDP and has won the last three outings, including a 5-1 win in Plymouth, Mich., last season. In 2023 and 2022 both games were decided by a single goal. The last time the USNTDP earned a win was in January 2020, a 4-1 decision.
• Four current Wolverines played for the USNTDP, including Jacob Truscott, Tyler Duke, Dakoda Rhéaume-Mullen and Christian Humphreys.
• Michigan split last weekend against then-No. 13 St. Cloud State, earning a 3-0 shutout on Friday before being shut out 4-0 on Saturday. In breaking down the series analytics, Michigan led in high danger chances 25-14, odd-man rushes 5-1, slot driving plays 50-27, accumulated 1:30 more offensive zone possession time, and won 58.3 percent of the puck battles.
• Logan Stein earned his first career shutout on Friday night against St. Cloud, turning away all 21 shots that he faced. Stein is now 2-1 on the season with a .925 save percentage and a 2.00 goals-against average. Cameron Korpi is 1-1-1 with a .915 save percentage and a 2.28 GAA.
• Garrett Schifsky leads the nation in goals scored with five in six games. He also has three short-handed goals to lead Division I in that category as well.
• Michael Hage is second in the nation in rookie scoring with seven points (four goals, three assists) in six games; his five-game point-scoring streak halted on Saturday.
• The Wolverines resume non-conference action next weekend with a series at Boston University. It will be Michigan's first trip to Agganis Arena since 2015. The last time the teams faced off in the regular season was in 2022, when the teams split a series at Yost.
