Michigan to Battle No. 6 Minnesota to Kick Start Four-Game Homestand

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 8 ranked University of Michigan hockey team (5-4-1, 1-2-1 Big Ten) opens a four-game homestand when it hosts No. 6 Minnesota (4-3-1, 0-2-0 Big Ten) in another top-10 matchup on Friday and Saturday (Nov. 10-11) at Yost Ice Arena. Puck drop for both contests is set for 7 p.m., and the games will be streamed live on B1G+.
Notes
• Michigan dropped four spots to No. 8 in USCHO poll after being swept by Wisconsin last weekend. It marked the first time the Wolverines have been swept by the Badgers since the 2017 season.
• The Wolverines are third in the Big Ten standings with four points after four games, while Minnesota also was swept by Wisconsin in its only conference series heading into the series at Yost.
• Minnesota holds a 150-133-19 edge in the all-time series with Michigan dating back to 1923. However, Michigan has the advantage at Yost, leading 68-57-10.
• Gavin Brindley is the nation's leading goal scorer with nine tallies already this season. Last year, he finished the year with 12.
• Michigan boasts the No. 1 scoring offense in the nation, averaging five goals per game.
• The Wolverines have the hottest power play in the nation, converting on 37.8 percent of its chances (17 of 45).
