
Wolverine Women Set to Face Arizona, Wisconsin at Wisconsin Tri-Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 14-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team will travel for the first time this season as it heads to Madison, Wis., to take on Arizona and Wisconsin in a tri-meet at Soderholm Family Aquatics Center. The two-day meet will start on Friday (Oct. 20) at 4 p.m. CDT, and day two on Saturday (Oct. 21) will start at 9:30 a.m. CDT.

• Michigan ranks No. 14 in the first edition of the CSCAA poll. Wisconsin checks in at No. 12, and Arizona is receiving votes in the national rankings.
• U-M will meet Wisconsin for the 22nd time in program history with the Wolverines leading 18-3 in the all-time series. Last year, U-M outlasted the Badgers 174-126 at Canham Natatorium. Friday will mark the first-ever matchup with Arizona in women's program history.
• The Wolverines opened the season with a strong performance at the Be Better; Invitational on Sept. 29, winning every event and sweeping the podium in three traditional events.
• Katie Crom captured two wins at the Be Better; Invitational, posting the top mark in the 200-yard freestyle and serving as the lead leg in the victorious 400-yard freestyle relay team.
• Freshman Stephanie Balduccini got her collegiate career off to a strong start by winning the 100-yard individual medley and 100-yard breaststroke at the Be Better; Invitational.
• Fellow first-year Lily Cleason collected two wins in the 100 back and as the third leg in the winning B team in the 400-yard freestyle relay.
• Christey Liang grabbed two podium spots in the season opener, finishing third in the 200-yard freestyle and securing the top time in the 50 free.
