Wolverine Bites
• Michigan advances to the NCAA Quarterfinals after a 4-2 win over Texas in the Super Regional in Ann Arbor. The Wolverines also posted back-to-back 4-0 sweeps in the first and second rounds over Western Michigan and Oklahoma.
• Michigan won the NCAA championship in 1957 and placed in the top 10 five times before the format changed in 1979. Since that time, the Wolverines have made the Elite Eight just once in 1988 when they were in the Final Four.
• This is the sixth consecutive NCAA tournament appearance for the Wolverines and 31st appearance in program history.
• Michigan is the NCAA Tournament's No. 5 seed and is ranked No. 5 in the latest ITA computerized ranking. That matches the highest ranking the team has earned this season. The Wolverines are No. 2 in the USTA/Tennis Channel poll.
• Six Wolverines are ranked in singles including: No. 27 Ondrej Styler, No. 63 Andrew Fenty, No. 70 Jacob Bickersteth, No. 77 Nino Ehrenschneider, No. 88 Patrick Maloney and No. 110 Gavin Young. Michigan also has two ranked doubles: No. 24 Fenty/Ehrenschneider and No. 29 Styler/Young.
• Ondrej Styler was selected for the NCAA Singles Championships and Andrew Fenty was named an alternate. This will mark Styler's first appearance, while Fenty competed in 2019. Styler and Gavin Young, and Fenty and Nino Ehrenschneider were chosen for the NCAA Doubles Championships. This is the first time Michigan has had two pairs at the event since 1975. The individual championships begin Monday (May 23).
• This is the fourth meeting between Michigan and Ohio State this season. Michigan took a 4-0 non-conference match in mid-March. Ohio State won the conference match, Michigan's only loss, a 4-1 decision in April. The teams met again in the Big Ten Championship with Michigan earning a 4-2 win, its first league tournament championship since 1996.
• Michigan and Ohio State met once in the NCAAs in 2009. OSU won the second-round match 4-1 as the host team. Overall, Michigan holds a 76-43-2 advantage in the all-time series, while OSU has had the upper hand since 2000, winning 30 of 35 matches.
• Ondrej Styler was named the Big Ten Tournament MVP and earned a place on the All-Tournament team along with Patrick Maloney. Gavin Young was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Year and earned second team All-Big Ten honors. Jacob Bickersteth, Maloney and Styler all earned first-team honors
• Nino Ehrenschneider is the second Wolverine to join the 20/20 Club this season. He picked up his 20th singles win of the season, to go along with 23 doubles wins. He joins Maloney, who has 24 singles wins and 24 double wins.
• Ehrenschneider enters the week with the longest singles win streak on the team, having won his last 12. He is 20-4 overall, 14-1 in dual play and went a perfect 5-0 against Big Ten foes. Ondrej Styler has won his last seven matches and has lost just once in his last 18. He is 23-4 with a 14-1 dual mark at No. 1 singles.
• Wolverines with career win streaks this season include: Nick Beaty (12), Patrick Maloney (11), Ondrej Styler (10), Gavin Young (seven) and Jacob Bickersteth (seven, twice).

• Michigan has dominated in doubles, winning the point 24 out of 28 matches.
• The team of Patrick Maloney/Nick Beaty have lost just once in its last 17 matches and had a 12-match win streak snapped in the Big Ten Championship final. The unranked duo is clicking with an 18-2 dual mark and 19-3 overall record. They topped the No. 4-ranked doubles team from Texas last on Saturday and are 3-0 against ranked pairs.
• Andrew Fenty and Nino Ehrenschneider are 10-6 in duals and 18-6 overall. The pair reached the second round of the ITA Fall Nationals in November. Ondrej Styler and Gavin Young are 8-5 as a duo.
