ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 7-ranked University of Michigan men's tennis team hits the road for the final road series of the regular season, visiting No. 2 Ohio State on Friday (April 15) at 6 p.m., and Penn State on Sunday (April 17) at noon.
Wolverine Bites
• Michigan and Ohio State are tied atop the Big Ten standings, both undefeated with Michigan at 6-0 and OSU at 5-0 with this match most likely determining the B1G regular-season champion.
• Michigan is No. 7 in the ITA rankings this week while Ohio State is No. 2.
• The Wolverines are 16-2 on the season and riding a 13-match win streak -- the longest win streak since 1988 when the team strung together 15 straight.
• Michigan has won the doubles point in 16 of 18 matches, including the last 12.
• Michigan is 72-15 in dual singles play and has lost just four matches in B1G play, at 24-4.
• Two Wolverines are riding double-digit singles win streaks: Nick Beaty has the longest win streak on the team, winning his last 11 and is 11-2 in dual play; Ondrej Styler has won 10 straight and is 12-2 this spring.
• Other singles streaks include: Patrick Maloney winning his last 9, Gavin Young his last seven and Nino Ehrenschneider his last six.
• Michigan has two ranked doubles teams in Fenty/Ehrenschneider and Styler/Young while its third pair, Maloney/Beaty, are 13-2 and have won their last 10 matches.
