The No-13 ranked University of Michigan men's tennis team (4-1, 4-0 Big Ten) resumes action this weekend hosting a pair of Big Ten foes at the Varsity Tennis Center. On Saturday (March 13) the Wolverines welcome Penn State (2-3, 2-3 Big Ten) to Ann Arbor before No. 8-ranked Ohio State (8-1, 5-0 Big Ten) comes to town for a Sunday (March 14) showdown. Both matches are slated for noon starts.

• Michigan (4-1, 4-0 B1G) is ranked No. 13 in the latest Oracle/ITA poll (March 10).
• The Wolverines sit atop the Big Ten standings at 4-0 and are one of two teams (Ohio State) undefeated teams in league play.
• Andrew Fenty is ranked 1No. 14 in singles play and is 4-0 at the No. 1 spot. He has won his last six matches.
• Ondrej Styler is 3-2 at No. 2 singles and is ranked No. 28 in singles.
• Patrick Maloney is off to a 2-0 mark at No. 3 singles.
• Nick Beaty and Mattias Siimar are undefeated at No. 3 singles at 2-0. Beaty is on an eight-match win streak and is 10-2 on the season. Siimar has won his last four and has a 6-4 overall record in singles this season.

Michigan leads the all-time series with Ohio State, 73-41-2, but the Buckeyes have won every matchup since 2001.
Michigan leads, 28-8, in the all-time series against Penn State. The Nittany Lions were the only Big Ten opponent U-M played last season prior to the rest of the season being canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Wolverines defeated the Nittany Lions, 5-0, on Feb. 29, 2020. In the last five years, the Wolverines have won six of eight matches against PSU.

Penn State is 2-3 on the season with a win at Indiana and loses to three ranked teams (Illinois, Ohio State and Northwestern).
