The No. 3-ranked University of Michigan men's tennis team (14-3, 1-0 B1G) will resume Big Ten dual-match play when it hosts Michigan State on Friday (March 13) at 6 p.m. at the Varsity Tennis Center.
About the Opponent: Michigan State
Michigan State is 5-6 on the season and has lost its last two matches to New Mexico and Brown, respectively. This will be the Spartans' first Big Ten match of the season. MSU and U-M have played three common opponents: Brown (MSU - L, 3-4; U-M - W, 4-0), Cornell (MSU - L, 0-7; U-M - W, 4-1) and Western Michigan (MSU - W, 4-3; U-M - W, 4-2).

Michigan holds a hefty 102-19 lead (.843 win percentage) over Michigan State in the all-time series. The Wolverines have not lost a match to the Spartans since the 2004 Big Ten Tournament. In the last five outings, Michigan has won by 7-0 decisions three times.

• Fenty and Mattias Siimar remain ranked No. 2 in doubles and have a 13-2 dual record. The pair is 25-4 overall, which includes a 13-match win streak during the fall season.
• The No. 73-ranked doubles pair of Styler and Johnston is 10-3 in dual matches and 13-4 on the season.
