• Michigan will face five teams ranked in the top 25: No. 6 Ohio State, No. 8 TCU, No. 13 Illinois, No. 15 Oklahoma State and No. 19 Columbia. The squad could also face additional ranked competition at the ITA Kick Off (Jan. 25-26) and the ITA National Team Indoor Championship (Feb. 13-16).
• Last year Michigan went 18-9 overall and finished fourth in the Big Ten with a 7-4 mark. The team reached the round of 32 at the NCAA Tournament, in the program's fourth consecutive appearance.
• Nine Wolverines return from last year's team, highlighted by Andrew Fenty, the ITA National Freshman of the Year. Fenty qualified for the NCAA Individual Singles Championship and finished the year with a 27-6 singles record and a 21-7 doubles record.
• Fenty is ranked No. 78 in singles and is fifth in the nation in doubles along with partner Mattias Siimar. The doubles team posted a 12-2 record during the fall, including winning the consolation bracket final at the ITA Fall Championships.
• Newcomer Ondrej Styler, the lone rookie on the team, has already established himself during the few fall months and is ranked No. 94 in the ITA singles rankings. He posted a 9-5 record during the fall and was 4-1 in regional action.
• The first singles and doubles rankings of the spring season will be announced by the ITA on Feb. 5.
