BRYAN, Texas -- After threatening weather and storms forced the suspension of the first day the play Saturday, the Texas A&M's Aggie Invitational men's golf tournament was cancelled altogether today (Sunday, April 7) with additional rain and thunderstorms in the forecast.
The University of Michigan team was able to get in only 12-15 holes Saturday before play was called in a scheduled 36-hole day at the Traditions Club. There are no plans to make up the tournament.
The Maize and Blue will now turn its attention to the regular-season finale, Purdue's Boilermaker Invitational, Saturday and Sunday (April 13-14) in West Lafayette, Indiana. The two-day, 54-hole event will be played on the Kampen Course at the Birck Boilermaker Golf Complex.
