ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 13-ranked University of Michigan men's tennis team (19-4, 8-2 B1G) finished the regular season as the No. 3 seed as they head into the Big Ten Tournament (April 27-29) in Iowa City, Iowa. They will face either No. 6 seed Wisconsin or No.11 seed Nebraska in the quarterfinals on Friday (April 27) at 2 p.m. CDT.
• Three of Michigan's four losses came against teams in the top 10, with the fourth coming against a team ranked No. 11 at the time of the loss. All four schools (North Carolina, Ohio State, Illinois and Florida) finished the season in the top 10.
• The Wolverines finished with a home record of 11-1 at the Varsity Tennis Center. In the past three years, the Maize and Blue has gone 35-3 at home.
• Heading into the Big Ten Tournament ranked 13th is the highest the Wolverines have been ranked heading into the tournament.
• Michigan has two players in the top 50 heading into the tournament (Knight, 15th and Hua, 47th) for the second time, and the first since 2007. It also has two doubles pairings ranked this late in the year (Knight/Hua, 21 and Hua/M. Siimar, 72) for the second straight year.
• U-M is 17-19 all-time in the Big Ten Tournament since the first tournament in 1999. Its best finish in the tournament is second place, which it has accomplished three times (2007, 2013, 2017).
• The Wolverines are looking for their 37th Big Ten Championship, and first since 1996.
• Hua's 24 doubles wins this season puts him tied for seventh on Michigan's all-time list for most doubles wins in a season. Hua also has 21 singles wins, making him the 27th player in Michigan history to join the 20-20 club for 20 doubles and singles wins in a season. Knight also accomplished that feat this year, for the second season in a row (24 singles, 21 doubles).
• Davis Crocker comes into the tournament with the Wolverines' longest active singles winning streak, having won in five straight matches.
• The Maize and Blue beat both of their potential quarterfinal opponents earlier in the year. They won a hard fought battle by a score of 4-3 against Wisconsin on April 13, and swept Nebraska 7-0 on senior day on April 22.

Following a five-minute intermission, singles action will begin with each match worth one point towards the team score. There will be no-ad scoring in both singles and doubles action. In addition, there is to be no noise made between first and second serves this season as part of new ITA sportsmanship guidelines.
