Julia Sellers (Apr. 11)
CWPA Player of the Week -- Junior Julia Sellers shares the weekly honor after leading the team with 15 goals and eight steals in five conference games over the weekend. Sellers twice matched her career high of five goals, finishing with five goals and one assist against both Brown and George Washington on Saturday (April 7). She also had a team-high three goals in a sudden-death overtime loss to No. 15 Princeton. Sellers added five assists and five drawn exclusions, along with winning eight of her nine sprints in a 4-1 weekend.
Caroline Anderson (April 5)
CWPA Player of the Week -- Senior Caroline Anderson helped lead Michigan to a 9-7 victory in its conference opener against No. 13 Indiana with two goals and two assists. Anderson scored two goals in the final 8:31 of the game and also had an assist to help the Wolverine overcome a 4-2 halftime deficit. She now leads the team with 82 points and 54 assists.
Maddy Johnston (April 5)
CWPA Rookie of the Week -- Freshman Maddy Johnston led all players in scoring with three goals in Michigan's 9-7 win over No. 13 Indiana to open CWPA conference play. It was the sixth hat trick of the season for Johnston who leads all U-M freshmen with 35 goals.
Kathy Rogers (March 22)
CWPA Rookie of the Week -- Freshman Kathy Rogers earned her first career CWPA Rookie of the Week honor after recording five goals, two assists, eight steals and a 4-0 record on sprint. Rogers became the third U-M freshman to win an award in 2018, and gives Michigan a weekly award in four straight weeks. Rogers had a season-high four steals against Fresno Pacific and multi-goal games in wins over No. 11 LMU and No. 21 San Jose State.
Caroline Anderson (March 14)
CWPA Player of the Week -- Senior Caroline Anderson tied for the team lead in points last weekend with 13 as Michigan went 3-0 at Hartwick to extend its winning streak to 11 games. Anderson had six goals, seven assists and five steals. Her 13 points helped her break the U-M career points record, previously held by Shana Welch, and become the first player in school history to hit 400 career points. She had three goals and two assists against Brown, one goal and three assists against No. 17 Princeton and two goals, two assists against No. 13 Hartwick.
Heidi Ritner (March 14)
CWPA Defensive Player of the Week -- Sophomore goalkeeper Heidi Ritner improved to 16-5 in the cage this season after picking up three wins over the weekend. Ritner started all three games and only allowed 11 goals, while stopping 17 shots and recording 17 saves. She gave up only three goals to Brown, two goals to No. 17 Princeton and six goals to No. 13 Hartwick. She also kickstarted the counter-attack offense with two assists in each game. She did it all while playing in the unorthodox shallow-deep pool and large wall-mounted cages at Hartwick.
Sofie Pontré (March 7)
CWPA Defensive Player of the Week -- Freshman Sofie Pontré earned her second career CWPA weekly honor and first Defensive Player of the Week accolade. She helped Michigan win all five of its games at the Wolverine Invitational, holding opponents to six or fewer goals in all five games. Pontré tallied three steals against both Azusa Pacific and Bucknell while finishing the weekend with three goals and three assists on the offensive end.
Maddy Johnston (March 1)
CWPA Rookie of the Week -- Freshman Maddy Johnston helped lead Michigan to a 3-1 record and ninth-place finish at the Barbara Kalbus Invitational last weekend, recording five goals, one assist, five drawn exclusions and four steals. She also won all seven of her sprints. Johnston hat a hat trick in the ninth-place game against No. 15 UC San Diego and scored two goals against No. 8 Pacific.
Maddy Steere (Jan. 24)
CWPA Player of the Week -- Sophomore Maddy Steere earned her first career CWPA Player of the Week honor after tying for the team lead with nine goals and 13 points at the UCSB Winter Invite. She led the team to a 3-2 record to open the year, drawing a team-best five exclusions to go with three steals and two field blocks on the defensive end.
Heidi Ritner (Jan. 24)
CWPA Defensive Player of the Week -- Sophomore goalkeeper Heidi Ritner started all five games in goal, helping Michigan hold four of its five opponents to five goals or less at the UCSB Winter Invite. Her 32 saves, 15 steals and 23 goals helped her earn her fifth career Defensive Player of the Week award.
Sofie Pontré (Jan. 24)
CWPA Rookie of the Week -- Freshman Sofie Pontré has only been in the United States for three weeks but the Perth, Western Australia native has already made an impact. She was a shutdown defender with eight steals during the opening weekend to help the defense hold four of its five opponents to five goals or less. On offense she had three goals and two assists.
