
McLean Named Regular-Season All-American

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Junior captain Emma McLean of the University of Michigan women's gymnastics team has been tabbed a second-team regular-season All-American by the National Association of College Gymnastics Coaches/Women (NACGC/W).
McLean finished tied for 11th in the Road to Nationals floor exercise rankings to earn the second-team honor. She has a Regional Qualifying Score (RQS) of 9.930 and a season-average score of 9.918. Her season average is the sixth best in the NCAA.
It is the second straight year McLean has earned second-team regular-season All-America honors. Last year, she claimed the honor on vault, ranking tied for ninth best in the nation. Michigan has had a regular-season All-American in each of the last six seasons.
This season, McLean was a first-team All-Big Ten selection. She has won eight individual titles, including one on vault and seven on floor. She has scored a 9.900 or better on floor in nine of her 11 meets and had a 9.875 in each of the other two.
McLean and the Wolverines will head to Tuscaloosa, Alabama, for the NCAA Regional on Saturday, April 7, at 4 p.m. CDT.
