Fans will get their first look at the Michigan women's gymnastics team on Saturday (December 10) at 4 p.m. when it hosts a free exhibition with Eastern Michigan in Crisler Center.
PROMOTIONS
• Free Admission -- All fans will receive free admission to the meet
• Giveaways -- First 500 fans will receive a 2017 Michigan women's gymnastics calendar
• Postmeet Autographs -- Following the conclusion of the meet, head to the concourse to get autographs from the entire Michigan team
CELEBRITY JUDGES
• Michigan will welcome four celebrity judges to provide scores and insight on routines.
• Sam Webb and Ira Weintraub, the hosts of The Michigan Insider on 1050 WTKA sports talk radio, have a weekly in-season segment with head coach Bev Plocki and will be two of the guest judges.
• 95.5 Mojo in the Morning on-air personality Joey Namou will be on hand to entertain.
• Former Michigan national champion and NFL defensive back Marcus Ray, a studio analyst for Big Ten Network, rounds out the list.
THINGS TO KNOW
• Michigan returns 17 of its 24 routines from 2016
• Among the returners are 2016 All-Americans Nicole Artz and Brianna Brown
• Michigan has the last three Big Ten Freshman of the Year recipients on its roster in Artz, Brown and sophomore Olivia Karas
• The roster for Team 41 features six newcomers among the 12 student-athletes [ Roster ]
• Eastern Michigan head coach Sarah Brown was a volunteer assistant at Michigan last season, while current volunteer assistant Brooke Parker held the same position at EMU a year ago
• Michigan lost to EMU in an exhibition last year, scratching injured competitors, but defeated the Eagles in the regular season and again at NCAA Regionals
• Michigan finished the 2016 season ranked 13th in the country after placing third at the NCAA Regional and winning the Big Ten championship
• Stadium Blvd. next to Crisler Center will be closed throughout the 2017 season [ Parking ]

• Make it a tripleheader Saturday starting with men's gymnastics intrasquad at 3 p.m. in Cliff Keen Arena, women's gymnastics vs. EMU at 4 p.m. in Crisler Center and ice hockey vs. Wisconsin at 7:30 p.m. in Yost Ice Arena.
