Michigan went to five sets for the second straight match of 2014. The Wolverines win over Duke is their first win in five sets this season.
Michigan now has a 3-1 series advantage over Duke. It is the second straight five-set win for the Maize and Blue over the Blue Devils.
The Wolverines have now won 17 straight home openers, with their last season-opening loss coming in the 1997 season.
Freshman Caroline Knop set a career high in kills with 14. Knop's previous high was nine against Tennessee State on Aug. 30.
Sophomore Abby Cole has had double figures in kills all four matches this season. Cole had a team-high 15 kills in tonight's win.
Junior Carly Warner had her second double-double of the season. She also set a career high with 14 digs on the night.
Junior Tiffany Morales tied a career high with four service aces. She also had four against North Florida on Aug. 24, 2012.
