
Jacobs Earns Second CSC Academic All-America Honor

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Graduate student Allison Jacobs of the University of Michigan volleyball team was named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-America Volleyball second team, the organization announced Tuesday (Jan. 14).
The honor is the second of Jacobs' career after being named to the CSC Academic All-American third team last season. She became the first U-M volleyball player ever to be named to the Academic All-America Team last season.
She had the best season of her career in 2025, earning first team All-Region and All-Big Ten honors. Jacobs was also named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America honorable mention. She tallied a team-leading 473 kills, averaging 3.94 per set. Jacobs added 34 aces, 63 blocks and 227 digs. The Stevenson Ranch, Calif. native recorded double-digit kills in 25 of 33 matches, totaling 543 points.
Jacobs served on the team's leadership committee for the third straight season and was the on-floor captain. Outside of volleyball, Jacobs is the president of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee and completed her undergraduate degree in May 2024, earning a bachelor's degree in communications and media from the College of Literature, Science and the Arts. She then earned a Master of Management degree from the Ross School of Business and recently completed a Real Estate Development Certificate. Jacobs is a four-time Academic All-Big Ten honoree and three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar.
