
Four Wolverines Garner CSC Academic All-District Honors

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Morgan Burke, Allison Jacobs, Lydia Johnson and Serena Nyambio of the University of Michigan volleyball team were named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon (Dec. 16).
To receive the honor, student-athletes must have completed at least one year of classes, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade-point average and have played in 90 percent of the team's matches or started in 66 percent of the team's matches.
Burke is a junior earning her degree in movement science from the School of Kinesiology. She earned CSC All-District honors last year and is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection. Burke started all 33 matches this season, one of just three Wolverines to do so, and played in every set. She led the team in assists with 791 and in aces with 34.
Jacobs is a graduate student pursuing a Real Estate Development certificate from Rackham Graduate School. She is a four-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and three-time Big Ten Distinguished Scholar. Last year, Jacobs was named to the CSC Academic All-America third team. She played in all 33 matches this season, recording a team-leading 473 kills and totaling 543 points scored while adding 227 digs.
Johnson is a junior earning a degree in movement science from the School of Kinesiology. She is a two-time Academic All-Big Ten selection and this is her first CSC All-District honor. She played in 30 of the team's 33 matches this season, recording 183 kills on a .298 hitting percentage and adding 65 blocks.
Nyambio is a senior enrolled in the College of Literature, Science and the Arts pursuing a degree in Biology, Health and Society with a minor in business administration. She is a three-time Academic All-Big Ten selection, and this is her third time being named to the CSC All-District Team. She started all 33 matches this season and led the team in blocks with 151, while adding 220 kills on a .394 hitting percentage.
Jacobs advances to the Academic All-America ballot, voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 13.
