ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- University of Michigan volleyball sophomore middle blocker Ece Senyapici has been selected to the Türkiye U-22 National Team for the Shanghai Future Star Tournament, set to take place in China ahead of the European Championships.

Senyapici joined the Wolverines prior to the 2025 season and appeared at middle blocker during Michigan's spring campaign following the graduation of Serena Nyambio. She brings extensive international experience, having represented Türkiye at multiple youth levels. Senyapici earned a bronze medal at the U16 European Championship, helped Türkiye to a runner-up finish at the U17 European Championship and was a member of the squad that captured the 2024 U20 European Championship title.

Türkiye opens tournament play on June 22 and will face the Shanghai Youth Team, Bulgaria's U-22 National Team and a team from Cal Berkeley in group competition. The tournament concludes with knockout-round play and a championship match on June 28.
