KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- University of Michigan volleyball outside hitter Allison Jacobs was named an American Volleyball Coaches Association All-America honorable mention, the organization announced Wednesday morning (Dec. 9).
Jacobs adds another honor to a strong final season after being a unanimous first team All-Big Ten selection and earning AVCA All-Region honors earlier this month. The graduate student finished the season with 473 kills, good for 10th all-time in program history for a single season. She added 227 digs, 63 blocks and 34 aces, contributing in all six rotations. Jacobs started every match and played in all but one set in the 2025 campaign as she helped led Michigan to a second-round NCAA Tournament appearance. She reached her 1,000th career kill against Ohio State on Nov. 14 and finished her six-year NCAA career with 1110 kills, 665 digs and 161 blocks.
She becomes the 16th Wolverine to earn AVCA All-America recognition and the first since Jess Mruzik, who also earned honorable mention status, in 2021. Jacobs was one of 17 players from the Big Ten to earn All-America honors this season.
