Michigan takes the lead in the State Pride Flag competition with Michigan State. The two teams will meet in East Lansing on Friday to decide who will win the flag.
Michigan State leads the all-time series 49-40 after this match. The Wolverines won at home vs. the Spartans for the first time since the 2010 season.
Senior Lexi Dannemiller was honored after tonight's match on Senior Night. Dannemiller had 41 assists and 17 digs, garnering her 31st career double-double.
Dannemiller's four service aces established a new season high. It also tied a team season high as Tiffany Morales had four vs. Duke on Sept. 6.
Freshman Claire-Kieffer Wright recorded her first career start as a Wolverine. She had eight kills and five blocks.
Freshman Caroline Knop registered her third career double-double (14 kills, 11 digs). She also led Michigan in kills for the second time this season.
Freshman Adeja Lambert had a career-high 13 digs in the win. Her previous high was eight at Purdue on Sept. 26.
