Michigan broke Wisconsin's 26-set winning streak with its set-two win.
Michigan is now 1-6 in five-set matches this season.
The Wolverines now trail in the all-time series with Wisconsin 50-20. Michigan also has lost consecutive five-set matches to the Badgers.
The Maize and Blue played its ninth ranked team tonight in No. 4 Wisconsin. The Wolverines are 2-7 against ranked teams this season.
Senior Lexi Dannemiller recorded her 5,000th career assist. Dannemiller now has 5,060 career assists and is third all-time on Michigan's career assist list.
Dannemiller set a season high with 61 assists. Dannemiller now has three straight 50-plus assist matches.
Dannemiller now has 45 career double-doubles after having 61 assists and 11 digs.
Freshman Adeja Lambert set a career high with 21 kills. Her previous high was 16 on three occasions.
Sophomore Abby Cole now has four 20-plus kill matches this season, which leads the team.
This is the second time this season Michigan has had two 20-plus kill performers. In the 3-2 loss at Oregon State on Sept. 12, Ally Davis and Katherine Mahlke had 21 and 20 kills, respectively.
Freshman Caroline Knop picked up her fifth career double-double by recording 15 kills and 11 digs.
Freshman Claire Kieffer-Wright tied a career high with eight kills. She also had eight kills against Michigan State on Sept. 30.
