Michigan hit .429 for the match, which is a season high. The last time the Wolverines had that high of a hitting percentage was on Nov. 10, 2012, when the Maize and Blue hit .460 in a win over Minnesota.
Both Michigan and Ohio went 2-0 on the day in the Michigan Invitational, setting up a de facto championship match Saturday night (Sept. 21) at 7 p.m.
Senior Jennifer Cross set a career high with a .722 hitting percentage (13-0-18). Cross hit .667 twice in her career, most recently vs. Eastern Illinois on Sept. 8, 2012.
Cross also set a season high with seven blocks. She had six in the season opener vs. Clemson on Aug. 30.
Senior Lexi Erwin tied her career high with four blocks. This is her seventh four-block match in her career.
