• Michigan jumps out to a lead in the State Pride Flag battle. The winner of the season series between Michigan and Michigan State earns the flag.
• The Wolverines improve to 4-3 in four-set matches.
• Michigan wins at Michigan State for the second year in a row. The last time the Maize and Blue won two in a row in East Lansing was in the 2002 and 2003 seasons.
• In the fourth set, Michigan defeated Michigan State, 32-30. The 62 combined points in the set are the most in a Michigan match since a 32-30 second-set win at Indiana on Oct. 27, 2012.
• Sophomore Tiffany Morales had 20 digs, her fifth 20-plus dig performance of the season.
• Freshman Abby Cole led Michigan in kills for the third time this season. She also was one kill away from a career high, which is 16 against Oregon State on Sept. 6, 2013.
