Jaeger Takes Sixth in 1,500-meter Olympic Final

LONDON, England -- University of Michigan junior men's swimmer Connor Jaeger (Fair Haven, N.J./Rumson-Fair Haven) took sixth place in the 1,500-meter freestyle final with a time of 14:52.99 at the 2012 London Olympics Saturday (Aug. 4).

The race, which was won by China's Sun Yang with a world-record time of 14:31.02, saw Jaeger take over sixth place at the 1,050-meter mark. He went on to split a 28.42 on the final 50 meters to seal the finish.
Following the Olympic Games, Jaeger will return to Ann Arbor continue his NCAA career.
