Michigan State Series Notes
Michigan's record against MSU in the CCHA Tournament improves to 6-7. This weekend was the third series played between the two teams -- all played in East Lansing -- and the first won by U-M.
Michigan has won its last three games against MSU to even its season mark to 3-3-0. Over the last two seasons, U-M is 8-3-0 against the Spartans.
Michigan has posted consecutive wins in East Lansing for the first time since the calendar year of 1975 (3/1/75 and 12/6/75). U-M is 44-60-8 all-time at Michigan State.
Team Notes
Michigan has scored first in six straight games and 24 times in 41 contests. U-M has a record of 20-4-0 getting the first goal.
U-M was 2-for-3 with the man-advantage, bettering its record to 18-8-1 when it scores a power-play goal. The Wolverines are 11-2-0 when scoring multiple power-play goals.
Michigan won for the first time this season when yielding multiple power-play goals (1-6-1). The three power-play goals against tonight were a season worst for U-M.
Individual Notes
David Wohlberg extended his point streak to five games, establishing a career-best run. He has 4-3-7 totals since Feb. 27.
Luke Glendening has a goal and nine assists in the last 10 games.
Ben Winnett tallied his fifth multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist.
With an assist, Carl Hagelin extended his point streak to three games (3-1-4). He has points in 14 out of the last 15 games (5-11-16).
Chris Brown scored his team-leading fourth game-winning goal of the season. Two of the winners have come against Michigan State.
Louie Caporusso kept his point streak alive at five games with one assist. He has 7-4-11 totals during the run.
