Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On tonight's win ... "It was another close game. Last time we were in here it was a 1-0 game. You knew it would be a close game again and it was. I don't know what it is about Michigan or Bowling Green but when they play in this building it's an exciting game. There were a lot of turnovers and a lot of chances. I can't tell you much more. It was mostly a shinny game more than a hockey game."

On over-passing during good scoring opportunities ... "We're trying to get open shots maybe. We're trying to make the perfect play. It's not just us. That's the way the game was played. Both teams played well defensively. I think we were a little lucky. That one play where the puck hit the boards in the third period and came out front, it was a miracle they didn't score on it. [Bryan] Hogan went behind to play it and it hit the boards and came out front. That might have been the closest chance of the period."

         U-M Senior Defenseman Steve Kampfer
On scoring two power-play goals in the first period ... "We realized that we needed to capitalize on the five minutes of man-advantage. We've been working on it all week. Obviously we were fortunate to pop two in there."

On the team's defense in the final two periods ... "I think we were doing a great job of keeping the chances to a minimum. Obviously we had too many turnovers at our blue line and their blue line, so that's something we're going to work on. Overall I thought we played great defensively and it gave us a chance to win tonight."

         U-M Freshman Forward Chris Brown
On his confidence over the last few games ... "I'm feeling good, really connected with everyone I've been playing with. It's pretty much everyone else. I'm getting good passes and shots are getting through from the point. I'm just doing my job in front of the net."

On his power-play goal ... "I think [the goalie] was anticipating a backdoor pass to [David Wohlberg]. Louie [Caporusso] made a great pass from the point. We worked on it in practice all week so it's a new kind of system and it worked."
