• Michigan moves to 1-1 against Kansas and 5-16 all-time against Big 12 opponents. This is the second consecutive season that the two teams have met. U-M's win is the first against the Big 12 Conference since it defeated Kansas State in the 1994-95 season.
• The Wolverines improve to 3-1 in games played at Crisler Arena. Tonight's game was the first in a series of five straight home games. Additionally, U-M will play six of its next seven games at home throughout December.
• Michigan improves to 5-1 on the season when scoring at least 60 points. The Wolverines also improve to 44-2 in the Borseth era when scoring 70 or more points.
• U-M extended its three-point shooting streak to 137 consecutive games. Michigan has not been without at least one three-pointer in the Kevin Boreseth era.
• Veronica Hicks was in double figures (14 points) for the sixth time this season. Her last double-figure game was at Iowa State on Dec. 5 when she had 10 points. Hicks has posted 41 career games in double figures, as well as in each of U-M's last three games.
• Rachel Sheffer set a career high with four assists, eclipsing her previous mark of three, she set against Wake Forest on Dec. 1.
• Michigan had four players in double figures in points tonight, with Veronica Hicks leading the way with 14 (Sam Arnold, 12; Nya Jordan, 11; Carmen Reynolds 10). U-M also had four players with double figures against Alcorn State on Nov. 12 and Wake Forest on Dec. 1, and five players in double figures against Xavier on Nov. 15.
• The Wolverines' 16 assists mark the seventh time reaching double figures this season in helpers. Michigan's season high in assists is 22; this mark has been reached in three games this season. The last time U-M had 22 assists was on Dec. 1 against Wake Forest.
• Michigan head coach Kevin Borseth is four wins away from his 500th NCAA victory, which includes Division I and Division II wins. Borseth has also coached at the community college level.
