Hello Everyone! I have not blogged recently due to unforeseen circumstances. We are now 4-3 for the season, with our next game at Iowa State this coming Sunday. Simply put, we have won the games we should win, but have not matched up well against opponents at higher levels.
At first, I was not sure how to blog about our start because some of it is obvious from watching the games. Then I was also presented with the challenge of finding a different way to convey my blog messages this season. Also, putting forth so much time and effort into this, my last year on campus, and looking at the current situation, I realize that I have even more opposition. Being focused and driven sometimes allows things to creep up in your blind spots. These circumstances and spots seemed like big dilemmas, not too long ago.
The things I notice about being in dilemmas is that they can easily show us where there is room to build. The preparation behind this moment in our basketball endeavors and to get to this point has been anything but mediocre. Thus, even in the most adverse times, where facades are dropped and true colors are shown, I know I have been equipped to handle it. Not just on the basketball court, but in life as well. I am equipped not only through my practice regimen, but mostly through my faith.
At Michigan, we talk about being Victors and that is important because no matter what type of streak we are on, people will strive to make things better. In church, we talk about being Conquerors, because we know unforeseen circumstances will come and that is when you realize the battle is already won and nothing formed against you can prosper. Ultimately, this is the biggest difference between happiness and joy. Joy stays with you and presents an undying hope, while happiness may leave you during times of turmoil or changes in various circumstances. But whether you are happy, or not, continuing to practice and apply that practice, at all times, is getting you closer to the goal.
Success Is Imminent! And I pray for the positive transformation of obstacles that attempt to hinder that success. Further, that as the obstacles are overcome, they can be an aid toward our progression, rather than acting as an impediment.
Until next time,
Colossians 3:23-24
