Series Notes
Against Wisconsin in the College Hockey Showcase, Michigan finishes at 11-5-2, including a 3-2-2 record at the Kohl Center.
Team Notables
Michigan ended its power-play drought at 25 chances when Carl Hagelin scored at 8:17 of the first period on U-M's second power play of the game. U-M had not scored a power-play goal since Oct. 30 against Ferris State.
Michigan is unbeaten in the last four games (3-0-1).
U-M scored multiple power-play goals (2) for the third time of the season.
Michigan allowed its first power-play goal against since Nov. 6, ending a string of 12 straight successful kills.
Player Notables
Carl Hagelin extended his season-best point streak to six games with his first power-play goal of the season. Hagelin has 4-4-8 totals in the last six games.
Hagelin took over the team lead in goals with seven. He had been tied with Scooter Vaughan and David Wohlberg.
Matt Rust pushed his season-best point spree to four games. Rust assisted on Hagelin's goal for a 1-3-4 line over the last four games.
With an assist tonight, Brandon Burlon matched his career-best point streak at three games (1-2-3).
Chris Brown notched his second multi-point game of the season with a goal and an assist. His goal was his first since Oct. 16 at New Hampshire, a span of 10 games. Both his tallies this season are on the power play.
Louie Caporusso tied his season-best point streak at three games (1-3-4) with a second-period goal.
