Michigan Head Coach Red Berenson
On tonight's power-play performance ... "The power play is a funny thing. We work hard on it and we don't seem to make much progress and then every so often you see a bright light and tonight was one of those nights. The puck went in whereas another night it might not. They weren't all great plays. You get the puck at the net. Louie [Caporusso] is a goal scorer; I'm not surprised, that was a good shot. Louie made a great play to Steve Kampfer on one. Sparks made a great shot on his, good play. We moved the puck a little better and we got rewarded."
On if the team played with a sense of urgency ... "We had the urgency, but so did they. We were on our heels. I thought they were coming at us pretty good in the last five minutes. You knew they would. It was a bit of surge and we were hanging on. Our defense got trapped on that one goal that got them back in the game. After that we didn't give them any shots. That was important. We have to be able to play in a one-goal game."
On Bryan Hogan overcoming the first goal against ... "I thought he made a couple great saves in the second period. He gave up a bad goal, a lucky goal, but he came back with a couple good saves. That's what a goalie has to do -- just put it behind him."
