After posting a first-round 308 on Monday (Oct. 19), senior Andrea Ratigan (Tucson, Ariz./Sabino) helped rally U-M, firing back-to-back 75s. Her performance led the Wolverines in their eight-shot improvement (300) in the second round and helped them to a tie for seventh after 36 holes. In today's final round, Tan paced the way with a one-over 72, while Ashley Bauer and sophomore Meagan Bauer (Grand Blanc, Mich./Grand Blanc HS) each had 75s to give U-M a 301.

N O T E S
With her start at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, Ashley Bauer has still yet to miss a tournament in her career, playing in 40 straight events. Bauer is one of two Wolverines with consecutive-event streaks along with Min Yean Tan, who has played in 28 straight events in her three seasons.
After tying with Min Yean Tan for the top Wolverine individual finish at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate, Ashley Bauer has now finished as the top Wolverine in 23 of her 40 career events and has eight career top-five finishes. Today's finish also marks her ninth straight event finishing as the top Wolverine dating back to last season.
Andrea Ratigan's 229 tally at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate is her best 54-hole tournament total in two seasons. The last time she broke 230 in an event was during the 2007-08 season at the 2008 Mountain View Challenge, where she shot a 226. Overall, it is Ratigan's fourth career 54-hole event under 230.
For the third time in four events this season, Meagan Bauer has lowered her career-best tally for a 54-hole event, shrinking it by two more strokes with a 228 total at the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate. Two weeks ago, she posted a 230 at the Windy City Classic and began the year with a 231 at the Mary Fossum invitational.
Q U O T E S
Michigan Head Coach Cheryl Stacy
On the Lady Pirate Intercollegiate ... "Overall, we had some highs and lows at this event, but we are continuing to move in the right direction. Ashley (Bauer) and Min Yean (Tan) led the way for us, but I was really pleased with the way Andrea (Ratigan) played. She had some solid rounds over the weekend and I have been really happy with her play and attitude this year. Even Meagan (Bauer) continues to get better and better. That is great for her. This weekend really helped show us that it's not just about one or two of us playing consistent, but we need to have everyone play well in order to move up the leaderboard. We underestimated the golf course this weekend. That is one of the biggest things we will take away from this event. We need to make sure we take advantage of the preparation in the practice round. As I said, we are learning and getting better with each round we play."
