EVANSTON, Ill. -- The University of Michigan men's soccer team dropped a 2-1 overtime decision at Northwestern today (Sunday, Oct. 24). Northwestern held a 1-0 lead at the half, but a penalty kick by Adam Bruh (Roslyn Heights, N.Y./Wheatly HS) knotted the game at 1-1 at 87:58. The Wildcats, however, sealed the victory with a sudden-victory goal at 94:13. The loss drops Michigan to 8-5-2 overall and a 1-3-0 mark in Big Ten Conference play.

After a Michigan foul, Gerardo Alvarez served the ball into the Michigan penalty box where Adam Sirois sent a header to the back post for the goal.
The score remained in the Wildcats' favor for most of the second half, but in the final minutes the Wolverines began to pressure Northwestern to score the equalizer.
