U-M Head Coach Cheryl Burnett
On the game ... "No. 1, you have to give them a lot of credit for making some very big shots. But ... we feel like we had it and then gave it away. Turning the ball over at critical times, not executing our press breaking, not getting the ball to the right people in the right situations. I don't want to say we gave it away because Alabama did a great job of hitting some big shots at the end while we were fumbling the ball out of bounds or traveling."
On Alabama ... "We were aware of their talent. Were we as prepared as we would have liked No. It was difficult in terms of being extremely specific. Still, we were prepared for what they ran. We defended their initial flow and all they did was spread out and try to dribble penetrate. They did a good job of that. We gave they too many open looks."
