Michigan Head Coach Jim Richardson
On tonight's performance and the overall outlook ... "We swam pretty well tonight. Our 200-meter medley relay did a nice job in holding onto 10th place. Shannon Shakespeare swam faster in finishing 10th in the 200-meter freestyle. Jenny Crisman was a hair slower [than in prelims] in finishing 11th in the 100-meter backstroke. We don't have easy speed but the kids are digging deep and swimming tough. We need to have a strong morning (in Saturday's prelims) in order to stay in the top 12-14."
