Michigan to Continue Fall Campaign at Lakefront Invitational

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's cross country team will continue its fall campaign at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Friday (Sept. 25) at Sydney R. Marovitz Golf Course in Chicago. The race is set to begin at 9 a.m. CT.
Notes
• The Wolverines finished third in their season opener at the Spartan Invitational (Sept. 11), with all five of U-M's scorers placing among the top 26.
• Penelopea Gordon paced Michigan with a third-place finish, marking the first top-three finish of her collegiate career.
• Senior Hannah Pricco was the second Wolverine across the finish line, placing 11th overall with a time of 21:22.7.
• Freshman Mikita Barry led a strong group of Michigan newcomers, placing 22nd overall in her collegiate debut. Michigan's three other freshmen -- Maya Markowska, Hannah Gates and Lily Symon -- all finished among the top 46 competitors.
• Sophomore Caroline Beiting recorded a career-best 21:41.1 in the Wolverines' season opener.
• Michigan last competed at the Sean Earl Loyola Lakefront Invitational in 2023, placing seventh behind Kayla Windemuller's ninth-place finish.
