
Kuhn Sets No. 6 400m Hurdles Time in Collegiate Debut at Len Paddock Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team closed out the regular season, hosting the Len Paddock Open on Friday (May 8) at the U-M Track and Field Stadium, setting one top-10 program time.
A trio of Wolverines finished in the top three spots in the 400-meter hurdles. Sydney Kuhn led the contingent in her collegiate debut, finishing first with a time of 58.08 seconds for the No. 6 time on the program performers list. Sydney Glee finished second (1:00.33) and Lauren Bickerdt finished third (1:00.37).
Trinity Henderson won the 400-meter dash with a time of 54.97, while Mara Longenecker finished second in the 1,500-meter run (4:34.90).
Gabriella Newman finished first in the high jump, clearing 1.74m (5 feet, 8.5 inches) to come just 0.01 meters shy of tying her personal best. Kourtney Rathke cleared 3.93m (12-10.75) in the pole vault to finish second.
In the shot put, Janey Campbell finished fifth with a mark of 14.24m (46-8.75) and Clare McNamara finished seventh with a season-best mark of 13.73m (45-0.5).
Michigan will open the postseason at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships, Friday through Sunday (May 15-17) in Lincoln, Neb., at the Nebraska Outdoor Track.
