
Wolverines to Close Regular Season Hosting Len Paddock Open

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team will close out the regular season hosting the Len Paddock Open on Friday (May 8) at U-M Track and Field Stadium. Field events will begin at 10 a.m. with the hammer throw, while track events begin at noon with the 4x100m relay.
Notes
• Michigan moved up to No. 8 in the Big Ten and continues to lead the Great Lakes Region in the latest USTFCCCA rankings.
• The shot put squad (Elizabeth Tapper, Trinity Franklin, Abigail Russell and Janey Campbell) remains at No. 2 in the NCAA, while the steeplechase squad (Hannah Pricco, Coraline Haggarty, Keaton Robar and Caroline Beiting) enters the rankings at No. 7.
• U-M returns home from a strong weekend at the Duke Twilight in Durham, N.C. (May 3).
• Keyanna O'Tey won the 200-meter dash, breaking the program record with a personal-best time of 23.00 seconds. She also ran a personal best 11.30 (+2.3m/s) in the 100-meter dash to finish third. Had the time been wind-legal, it would have been a program record.
• Payton Smith set a pair of top-10 times, placing sixth in the 200-meter dash with a personal best of 23.41 and second in the 400-meter dash with a personal-best time of 51.77. The times are No. 6 and No. 2, respectively, on the program performers lists.
• Freshman Sydney Glee cracked the top 10 of the program performers list in the 400-meter hurdles with a personal-best 59.12 to come in at No. 10. Sidney Green placed third with a season-best time of 57.09.
• Emmry Ross ran a personal-best 2:02.13 in the 800-meter run for the No. 4 time on the program performers list and a sixth-place finish, while Pricco ran a personal-best 10:04.56 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase to finish second and move up to No. 6 on the program performers list.
• In the long jump, Amare Harlan finished first with a personal best of 6.37m (20 feet, 10.75 inches) and Kourtney Rathke placed fifth with a mark of 6.08m (19-11.5), the No. 4 and No. 5 marks, respectively, on the program performers list.
• Michigan will open the postseason with the Big Ten Outdoor Championships from Friday through Sunday, May 15-17, in Lincoln, Neb.
