
U-M Ready to Compete at Big Ten Championships at Eagle Creek Park

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The No. 17-ranked University of Michigan rowing team will travel to Eagle Creek Park in Indianapolis, Ind., for the 2026 Big Ten Championship on Saturday and Sunday (May 16-17). Races are set to start at 9:02 a.m. on both days for the 11 competing teams.

Notes
• The Big Ten Championship regatta will take place over two days, with heats on Saturday and finals on Sunday. The top three finishers in each heat on Saturday will advance to the championship races on Sunday, while the remaining five boats will compete for places 7-11.
• The first races of each day will begin at 9:02 a.m., with an awards ceremony at 12:15 p.m. after Sunday's final races conclude.
• The heats on Saturday will be streamed live on B1G+, while Sunday's finals will be live on the Big Ten Network and the Fox Sports app.
• U-M is seeking its 10th Big Ten title in program history and its fifth in the last seven seasons (2019, '21, '23-'24; 2020 not contested).
• Last season, the Wolverines finished third overall at the Big Ten Championships, with the 1V8, 2V8, 1V4 and 2V4 earning bronze medal finishes.
• The conference title returns to Eagle Creek Park for the second year in a row. This will mark the park's 13th year hosting the championship event.
• The Wolverines enter championship weekend with 26 of 51 student-athletes who competed in last year's conference title races returning in 2026.
• Athletes returning to the conference title include: Autumn Crowe, Sara Houben, Amy Newton, Jana Peachey, coxswain Logan Roeder (1V8), Zara Bongiorno, Gretel Ham, Madeleine Lauriault, Deanna Macolino, Leah Miller, coxswain Isabela Pimentel (2V8); Sinéad Erasmus, Grace Hammis, Leija Murphy, Madeson Scott, coxswain Talia Daft (1V4); Halle Loveday, Maddy Matos, Olive Pascoe (2V4); Megan Higley, Ansley Vicars (3V4); Ava Fox, Ava Harrington, Kiley Locke, Ayelel Meyen, Tacey Moore and coxswain Catalina Echavarria (3V8).
• Michigan is the fourth-highest-ranked team in the field, behind No. 4 Washington, No. 12 Rutgers and No. 16 Ohio State.
