PHILADELPHIA, Pa. -- The University of Michigan women's track and field team opened the Penn Relays on Thursday (April 23) at Franklin Field.
Sidney Green ran a season-best 57.71 seconds in the 400-meter hurdles for fourth, while Sydney Glee finished 29th (1:01.13) and Lauren Bickerdt finished 35th (1:01.98). Glee's time is a personal best.
In the 1,500-meter run, Samantha Hastie led a contingent of Wolverines with a sixth-place finish (4:14.58). Hannah Pricco placed 16th in a personal-best 4:17.26, Penelopea Gordon placed 23rd (4:18.61) and Coraline Haggarty placed 34th with a personal-best 4:22.44.
Elena Figueroa finished 53rd in the 5,000-meter run with a time of 16:53.57.
The Wolverines will continue competition at the Penn Relays on Friday (April 24), opening the day with the 4x100-meter relay at 1:25 p.m.
