ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- The University of Michigan softball team wrapped up its non-conference slate with a 3-0 shutout of Toledo on Tuesday (April 21) at the Wilpon Complex, home of Hutchins Stadium and Alumni Field.

Erin Hoehn (6-4) tossed her fourth complete-game shutout of the season, allowing three hits and five walks with one strikeout. She set the tone in the first inning, facing four batters and retiring the side on just four pitches. The 90-minute game was Michigan's shortest of the season.

The Wolverines scattered their runs over three innings -- the first, second and fifth frames -- and scored all three on extra-base hits. Lauren Putz paced U-M at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two runs and an RBI on a one-out solo shot to center field in the first for the game-winning run. It was her 18th home run of the season.

Michigan produced its second-inning tally with three hits from the bottom of the order. Kiley Carr and Sydney Hastings punched singles through the right and left sides, respectively, and Janelle Ilacqua drove in the run with a two-out RBI double to right-center field.

Putz and Ella Stephenson teamed up for another two-out run in the fifth. Putz roped a double to right field and scored when Stephenson lifted a triple -- her second of the season -- off the center-field wall in consecutive at-bats.

The Wolverines (29-17) will wrap up the home portion of their 2026 schedule with a three-game set against Indiana this weekend at Hutchins Stadium. The teams will square off at 6 p.m. Friday (April 24), 2 p.m. Saturday (April 25) and 1 p.m. Sunday (April 26). Tickets are available through the U-M Ticket Office, and all three games will be streamed on B1G+.
