
Wolverines to Host Four Matches as Part of Big Ten/SEC Challenge

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- In conjunction with the Big Ten Conference, the University of Michigan volleyball team announced Monday (March 30) that it will host four matches as part of the Big Ten/SEC Volleyball Challenge Week.
Michigan will welcome Michigan State, LSU and South Carolina to Ann Arbor, with two matches scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 1, and two more on Wednesday, Sept. 2. The Wolverines will face both the Tigers and Gamecocks during the two-day event. All four matches will be held at Crisler Center, with match times to be announced at a later date.
The Big Ten/SEC Challenge Week will feature all 18 Big Ten programs and all 16 SEC schools competing across the country. The event will conclude with a pair of matches at Wrigley Field on Sunday, Sept. 6, showcasing Nebraska, Penn State, Missouri and Kentucky.
Last season, the Wolverines finished 22-11 with an 11-9 Big Ten Record and earned a spot in the NCAA Tournament. U-M took down Xavier in the first round before falling to No. 1 seed Pittsburgh.
New season tickets for 2026 are on sale now for $75. Fans are also encouraged to join the ticket interest list to be notified when single-match tickets go on sale and to receive promotional information throughout the season.Â
