Notes
• The Wolverines hold a 54-4 record all-time against the Boilermakers, most recently earning a 4-2 win in the Big Ten Tournament semifinals last season in West Lafayette, Ind. The Wolverines swept Purdue in their last regular-season series on the road in 2024. Right-handed pitcher Lauren Derkowski threw no-hitters in back-to-back starts.
• Junior outfielder Jenissa Conway leads the nation with six triples this season, most recently notching one in the sixth inning of its Big Ten opener at Nebraska (March 13). Earlier this season, she posted two triples in consecutive at-bats against No. 22 Arizona State (Feb. 22) to become just the eighth player in program history to achieve the feat and the second on the current roster, joining junior outfielder Ella Stephenson. Conway's .411 batting average is a 32-point improvement on her previous career high.
• Conway posted five hits last weekend against Washington, including two homers and a double with five RBI. She ranks second on the Wolverine team with eight homers this season. She owns an eight-game hitting streak and has hit successfully in 17 of the last 18 games. Conway has also scored a run at least once in each of the seven games, with nine total runs over the stretch.
• Junior infielder Maddie Erickson delivered two towering home runs, upping her season total to three, from the eighth spot in the Washington series. Erickson had four RBI on the weekend as well -- the second most on the weekend, only behind Conway.
• Michigan's offense was powered largely by the long ball against Washington, with Conway, Erickson and senior shortstop Avery Fantucci combining for four home runs over the weekend.
• Junior transfer RHP Gabby Ellis has taken the lead in most innings pitched this season for the Wolverines, surpassing junior RHP Erin Hoehn with 58.2. Ellis carries a team-best 2.74 earned-run average and has an 8-3 overall record. She has appeared in 15 total games with eight starts.
