U-M to Send Three Swimmers to OSU Last Chance Meet

ANN ARBOR, Mich. -- Three swimmers from the No. 4-ranked University of Michigan women's swimming and diving team will travel to Columbus, Ohio, on Sunday (March 1) for the OSU Last Chance Meet at McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion.
Notes
• Three freshmen -- Milla Drakopoulos, Sarah Pasquella and Montse Spielmann -- will make the trek to Columbus to compete for season-best times and to qualify for the NCAA Championships.
• Drakopoulos landed on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team after placing seventh overall in the 200-yard backstroke with a time of 1:53.98. She joined the team in January as a mid-year enrollee.
• Pasquella reached two finals in her Big Ten Championships debut, including the championship heat of the 100-yard breaststroke. She finished eighth overall with a mark of 1:00.26.
• Spielmann also landed on the Big Ten All-Freshman Team, earning second swims in all three events she raced. She finished fifth overall in the 200-yard butterfly with a personal-best time of 1:56.34.
• Following the Last Chance Meet, Michigan will learn which swimmers qualify for the NCAA Championships on March 4.
